Boat Jumble

Sat 6th June, 10:00-15:00

FOSSC Boat Jumble Sale - Sat 6th June 1000-1500

Just a quick note to advise FOSSC Members how the Boat Jumble will work.

Firstly, Members selling their own gear: As per the poster, you are welcome to join the Boat Jumble as a seller. We just ask that you help put up a foldable table to display items, if needed, and obviously 'man your stand'. Useful to have a small change float with you.

Secondly, FOSSC selling dinghy related bits: We have a collection of lost property from the last few years, especially child's items which we have sorted and will offer to a good home 'free of charge'. We pitch just outside the main entrance to the clubhouse so easy to try on gear in changing rooms.

We also have a collection of dinghy bits from the boats we stripped down to burn the wooden hulls, especially Mirrors and Miracles. So the usual ropes and blocks, various deck fittings, foils, spars and sails (Mirror) and a couple of boat covers. These are also offered 'free of charge' to Members. Remember, things like blocks and shackles fit many dinghy types.

There are a number of foils, rudders (mostly complete) and several daggerboards and these are offered for a small donation to the club, ranging from £5 to £10 depending on condition.

We do not have the range of boats that were available last year but we do still have several of potential interest to Members, such as:

  • Ex-club training Gull - Complete and ready to sail. Offered for £100!
  • 420 - Complete - offered for TBC (Member is selling but proceeds kindly going to FOSSC)
  • Oppie - Hull only - some bow damage -  offered for £40

We also have three galvanised dinghy road trailers, all appear in reasonable condition, but not tested to see if roadworthy. These are offered at the incredible price of £50 each. There are other road trailers and trollies that have been discarded over the years in various states of repair, the majority would be 'projects' so offered 'free of charge', providing moved off site or stored within Members paid for berth(s). Feel free to ask on the day to take a look.

Lastly, the club has virtually everything for a GP14 except the all important hull! We are intending to sell these items online, but feel free to mention on the day if interested in anything for GP14s.

Please come along and grab yourself a bargain. We hope to be able to use SumUp for bigger transactions, but suggest some cash might also be useful.
